• All of our hand-spun yarns are made for you by Rachel! If you haven’t worked with hand-spun yarn in your past knitting or crochet adventures you might not know how fun it is to work with. Hand-spun yarn, while being less regular than mill spun, has a spongey, springy quality that no machine can mimic. Many times buying hand-spun yarn helps us reduce waste as the small amounts that result from packaging the yarn can be combined to create unique blends. Because of this we choose to price the hand-spun skeins by weight, like our other wool goods and not by yardage.

When you buy hand-spun yarn you’re supporting the perpetuation of an ancient technique - and if you want to take a workshop with Rachel and learn how to spin, head on over to the contact form and drop us a line for more info!

  • Our friends Joe and Shelly Trumpey raise Jacobs (among many many other cool projects and animals) on their farm in Jackson County, Michigan. We are promoting their wool to connect our favorite fiber-loving humans to one of our favorite flocks! Plus, Joe and Shelly have a big enough herd to do some really interesting batts.
